Re: Latency on Audacity 2.4.2
I cannot eliminate latency when monitoring. You don't. Your live voice from the computer is always going to be "one computer late." That's why you need to have a microphone, interface, or a mic-pre that has real-time or direct monitoring. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/samsonGTra...

I don't know that they're all that different. They're called different things. Effect > Graphic Eq and Effect > Filter Curve.

There's a volume meter on the front of a Yeti-X. The microphone light should be on and you should speak or adjust the volume until you just occasionally get a yellow light. Screen Shot 2020-12-01 at 09.48.02.png The Yeti-X is a side-address microphone. You speak into the side grill just up from the ...

Re: Automated successive recordings
I don't think so. It's one of the reasons Audacity doesn't make a very good surveillance recorder. No way to automate file management. Another serious problem is no Time and Date stamps. Plain Ordinary Timer Record will only do one event—you probably found that out. If you want to try automating it,...

Their real goal was to kill most of the bare room/wood ...

Re: Voice-over set up with dynamic mic
There's a microphone note, too. The two "microphones" in my real-world tests were both stand-alone sound recorders. Zoom H4 and Zoom H1n. Tiny and no cables. This isn't a soundstage. https://www.kozco.com/pix/SoundStageInterior.jpg Everything has to fit. The first time I met a Yeti was a s...

Re: Record convo
Zoom has pretty good tools for recording conversations and even keeping the voices separate so you can do sound production yourself later. Set up a call with a friend to make sure you know all the tools and settings before you call the governor for an interview. Trying to do chat voice recordings yo...

I only ask because Amazon publication in paper or e-book is required before they will start an audiobook.
