That's the original PA connection on the bottom, not broadcast (attached). That's how it's used, although you can get better sound quality if you hang it upside down about nose level. Many air studios did that.

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
On further checking, it's the exported WAV file that sounds muffled. The actual recording within Audacity sounds fine in terms of tone and pitch for the voice? That's a famous microphone. That's the one film crews use to suggest 1945 club performances. Just to cover it, you are speaking into the li...

Re: Attaching Wav files to emails
I get about 2 minutes of CD quality stereo for 25MB. That's approximate.
That's why people graduate quickly to file sharing services for anything serious.

Re: Attaching Wav files to emails
That may be an oblique way of complaining about the file sizes. Yahoo Mail only allows up to 25MB of anything. You can blow past 25MB pretty quickly in a stereo WAV file. People in audio or video production are stunned how big things can get in a hurry.

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
ACXTest.wav is broken. That's the sound you get when you leave the microphone in your overnight bag...and try to use it there. That does illustrate one point. It's possible to produce trash that passes ACX Test. No human Quality Control would pass that clip. Now we have to go back over your studio a...

Re: Non-destructively removing sections from an Audacity pro
Have you ever edited a show before? There's the five to one rule. Editing takes five times the length of the show. So if you have a nice hour podcast, you will spend at least five hours cutting it. That tends to limit the plans for detailed and perfect editing. Will you be submitting to ACX or other...

Re: Non-destructively removing sections from an Audacity pro
You can get something like that with Audacity Projects. That's their very reason for existing. Make several copies of the show one above the other and then designate one of them (on top??) as the Export Master. The others can be other edits or shards and fragments as you see fit. You can turn each t...

Re: Vinyl with Behringer U-Control UCA202
Some Tape-Out connections don't adjust, but that's what I would try. I tried that with my sister's entertainment amplifier and the connections turned out to be a special purpose, odd volume level service designed to plug into their own proprietary system. Gotta love the stereo makers. In general, as...

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
It's really good to post a 10 second sound sample completely without processing. Record > Stop > Export: WAV(Microsoft). Don't help us. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html The first second or two can be the hardest. It took several tries to convince one poster that silent ...
