Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
32bit PCM WAV (Microsoft) While you can do that, not everybody can play them. They take up extra storage space, they're hard to post and they're stressy for music systems to play. Audacity default WAV export is just fine (attached). the Peak level is too high. That's pretty normal. That's why when ...

recording using the Logitech Cam mic and the laptop's inbuilt mic and have not encountered this problem, it seems to only happen when using the blue mic. You may have a version of The Yeti Curse. The Blue Yeti and Blue Snowball have no power supply filtration. Whatever supply (five volts) falls out...

several sets of storage space What does that mean? Hard drives? Solid State Drives? Two minutes is hard. Every ten to twelve seconds could be Audacity writing to the "Storage Spaces." Does the snowball have a home run? Does it go directly to a port on the computer? They don't like going t...

Re: Attaching Wav files to emails
That will give you a nice, tidy 25 MB file. ZIP isn't a compressor (that I know of). It just takes the air out of file and folder structure and puts it back at the end. Oh, you mean to get around the WAV restriction. I never had any trouble with that. I think we're suffering from trying to mail a ha...

Last I checked, Audacity was a 32-bit application. I think 64 is on the drawing board.

Re: audio input from stereo into imac, line in vs. usb
If you have a Mac with a Stereo Line-In (circle and two arrows) ... http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn-650.jpg ... use that. If not, you can try the conversions inside the Mac (some do, some don't) , or my favorite Behringer UCA-202 USB adapter. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/p...

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
Let's try this a different way. This is my test sound clip. It sounds like a human talking (me). No muffle. Does it sound the same both inside Audacity and out?
