Re: Moving a track from one project to another
The Get Out Of Jail card is select the track by clicking just above MUTE. File > Export Selected Sound > WAV (Microsoft) > name it > OK. File > Import that sound file into your new Project. DO NOT use any MP3 files in this process. This Export/Import thing doesn't work as well with them. There may b...

Re: no volume on when monitoring or playback
I wouldn't have bothered with this device as it is a pretty complicated learning curve Which device is "this?" Typically you use a Phono Preamp between a turntable and the capture system (computer) not only to make the sound louder, but to take out the RIAA sound distortion that phonograp...

Re: Is Windows WASAPI sound card dependent?
It's not like Stereo-Mix which needed cooperation from the sound card and Windows drivers. When that fails, WASAPI is the Get-Out-Of-Jail software. Typically it's a question of whichever you can get to work.

Re: Error whenever audio is recorded
You are actually installing Audacity, right? I think the latest version has a little draggy installer thing. The earlier ones didn't have that. Also a note. Reinstalling Audacity doesn't reset Audacity. To drag Audacity back to factory-fresh you have to reset it. Close Audacity. Go (top of desktop) ...

Use the Mac Stereo Line-in. Circle with two black arrows. I think its system name is "Built-In Line-In."

Re: Lexicon Alpha Interface Left Channel Only
It works well for garage band. It's possible GarageBand is spreading "Left Tape" across left and right show. I think I can force Audacity to do that with a Behringer UCA202 stereo USB adapter. I can apply a full stereo show to the UCA202 and two channels will make it to Audacity, but it's...

Re: Clicking While Recording Every Two Minutes
I can do the screen capture and webcam with the new machine, and the commentary with the old machine, then transfer the files over when it's time to edit. That is the recommendation, yes. Record on Something Else That Works and combine the segments and tracks later for editing into the final show. ...

Re: Problem recording music via unified headset jack on lapt
my headset jack on the laptop is incapable of recording from my keyboard? That's the short answer, yes. I intentionally bought a shiny-new, but out of date design Mac because it did have a Stereo Recording connection. New ones don't and PCs haven't for a while. Your musical keyboard could also have...

Re: How can I repair corrupted 3GP audio files?
Knowing Windows is good. Which Windows? Fill in the narrative: "I was hit by lightning while recording a soccer (football) match in Lithuania. Thirty sound files became corrupted." Take me there. Describe what you were doing. It's rarely a good idea to jump into one of these jobs without s...
