Re: audio exported under name without one dot of many
I think it is a bug. You should be careful how you toss around the "B" word. few people might use such name schema The way I understand it, dot management is an effort to decide whether or not the user intends to add their own extension. It has nothing to do with valid filenames. Few Mac ...

Re: Shape of portable vocal booth matters?
Placing sound absorbent materials directly in contact with reflective materials (the box) reduces their effectiveness substantially That's why the semi-standalone booth works so well. Separated from the room's walls, reflected sound has to go through four layers of moving blanket. Two going out and...

working now to produce them as audiobooks. Meanwhile, back at the first post. With a company such as ACX? ACX wants your works as independent chapters and there are specifications for intros, silences, formatting, technical considerations, maximum file sizes, duration, etc. http://www.acx.com/help/...

Re: no longer can import audio file
I do this in two steps. I drag the iTunes file out of iTunes and onto the desktop. Then I right-click or control-click the file > Open With: Audacity. If you can't do the first step, then it's possible you have one of the $0.99 FairPlay Copy Protected sound files. Then, the only way out is to play i...

Re: Trimming audio
Play, scan or zoom to the two places you want to mark (Audacity doesn't have Edit Markers) place a label there. Audacity labels are sticky or magnetic. When you mouse over them, the cursor sticks and makes drag-selecting easy. If they aren't in exactly in the right places, you can move the labels ar...

Re: Can't Record at all. Please Advise
Probably not Stereo Mix. Stereo Mix is "everything on the computer." People doing that by accident post complaining they are getting YouTube, Built-In Microphone featuring the dog barking and keyboard clicks and their theatrical microphone all at once. That's correct. That's what Stereo-Mi...

Re: Shape of portable vocal booth matters?
This is how I did it. The pictures are too big for in-line presentation. You have to click. http://kozco.com/pix/oneWallKit.jpg http://kozco.com/pix/partiallyConstructedWall.jpg The ropes on the ends are to connect the walls to each other. Each wall is double moving blanket. I can turn any room into...
