Re: Heavy clipping and whole frequency band missing
I might buy a better quality recorder in the future You may not need the whole new recorder. I use Olympus TP-7 and TP-8 special purpose microphones (in my ear) and plugged into any Mic-In. Of course, Olympus would love you to plug it into one of their recorders, but I use a little headset adapter ...

Re: Cutting very short blank audio - bugged?
Is it really short and is it an MP3? MP3 files don't have predictable start and stop times. That's one reason we tell people never do production in MP3.
I bet if you export the corrected file as WAV the patch would stick.

Re: Heilocopter sound ?
It could be as simple as plugging headphones in.
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording > Playthrough. Is that setting on or off?

Re: Heilocopter sound ?
Sometimes we have to read between the lines. You're not trying to record a helicopter. Your recorder is making that sound on its own. Do you like to record YouTube video sound and other on-line content? If you do, chances are you left those settings running then you turned on your microphone. You ar...

Re: Feedback on my remix?
That came out well. This isn't your first time out, is it? It's too smooth for a newbie.
I did add the NSFW note. The senior elves may decide to pull it down because of that. Can't tell.

Re: Feedback on my remix?
Are you the lead vocal? We had one poster who wanted us to listen to "his song" and it turned out he only did the last eight seconds or something like that and most of the song was the original artist. We got all excited and then somebody noticed the end of the song voice sounded a little ...

Re: How to connect usb turntable output to PC router
There is a way to get two USB cables worth of distance. Put a wall-powered USB hub between the two. The hub will act as a booster and regenerator, but you can't use it for anything else . Let's see roughly 6 feet out to 12 feet. We had one conference room that had a long throw between the conferenci...

Re: Feedback on my remix?
Where is it? You can only post about ten seconds of sound as an attachment, so you need a file hosting company.
