Re: Noise Reduction
You should probably apply the multi-notch Nyquist filters first. That will give the effects and filters after that less work to do. You may not need the harsh noise reduction with those whine sounds gone. On Mickey's Blues at 3-1/2 seconds, the right channel guitar overloads and gets crunchy and cra...

It seemed to do absolutely nothing. Cancellation only works when the two pieces are absolutely, perfectly lined up opposite each other. So your two tools to go are Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) and the volume slider to the left of the track. Jockey your brains out. If either of the two...

Re: Cleaning up conversations recorded with a hidden recorde
I do have a hint about this stuff. I installed the microphone system in a movie screening room and I did it in high quality stereo (attached). Everyone said it was a waste of time, but people listening to those recordings can clearly pick out several different people speaking at the same time. I've ...

Re: Cleaning up conversations recorded with a hidden recorde

Re: EQ going in
Simple has always been good. The fewer components the less trouble in getting the noise out etc. I's possible, particularly with home recording, to be too simple. The built-in microphone on most Windows laptops is designed for communications and conferencing, not entertainment recording. You might ...
