Re: Zoom vs. Audacity
Can you record both sides of the Zoom session to at least one sound file in Audacity? Most, or almost all people who try that fail. We're interested in how you did it. Also, can you get it to work on more than one machine? There are Unicorns out there who can perform miracles...once. Then they post ...

Re: Is there a way to make centered tracks louder and left and right tracks quieter?
Center Pan Removal is an interesting trick. Audacity has a pre-baked effect so you don't have to go through all that work yourself. Center Removal and Isolation. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_vocal_removal_and_isolation.html That may be enough to do what you want, or at least help a l...

Quieter than -25dB or -30dB and the waves are flat even though there is still sound there. This is normally good because most of the valuable s...

Re: Merging Almost Identical Tracks
Does Discord have a recording feature? If you set up your conference on Skype or Zoom, you can get them to record the conference for you and send finished sound files. So far one (1) forum poster has claimed they can record conferences well at home. Everybody else has troubles.

Re: Merging Almost Identical Tracks
If you have two different recordings on the same material, you can just time them by knowing the beginning and ending points. Use Effect > Change Speed and resolve one to the other. This is why you occasionally see performers go "one, two, three, CLAP." Use Change Speed and not either of t...

He's doing comedic abbreviation to keep the performance rhythm going. There isn't time enough for the operator to say all the things he's responding to. If you put the operator in, you're going to have to write them in as a performance partner, not a confused staffer. See: cross between Lilly Tomlin...

As for the green and yellow lights, they reach up to the ninth dot. Conveniently enough, the Yeti manual doesn't tell me which lights are what color. Screen Shot 2020-12-12 at 1.50.54 AM.png But they do tell me which colors are supposed to be lit. All the greens and an occasional yellow and no red....

If you read down through that and discover what went wrong, please post back and say so. We build lists of problems and solutions so we can help others. It's a forum, users helping each other, not a help desk.

OK. For the record. That does work. Behold my dulcimer tones. H1nTest.mp3 Now we get to sort what I did that you didn't do. I'm on High Sierra, not Catalina. Audacity 2.4.2. I woke up the H1n with its USB cable connected to a MacBook Air. The stars are my selections. Audio I/F * Card Reader PC/Mac *...
