Re: Cant Find my project file

You previously asked me if my PC crashed or did Audacity crash .
Both it was Audacity that crashed .
That didn't come out English. Either Audacity crashed by itself or the computer crashed and took out everything you had open at the time.

Re: Many small strips of sound

You probably saved Audacity Projects. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg Can you find the AUP files associated with each Project? The AUP file contains the Audacity instructions how to put your shows back together from the contents of the _DATA folder of the same name. Do...

Re: Cant Find my project file

Next time you do this, save the project as a different name and if it's important enough, on separate media. If the show crashes again and takes the current show with it, you can always go back to that moment in time. If your machine has become unstable, that separate media thing will be important. ...

Do you get an error message? A 20 second stereo (two blue waves) WAV clip will not fit on the forum. It's 10 seconds stereo or 20 seconds mono. Most voice work is mono. If you're part of a theatrical presentation with effects, environment, etc, then yes, you need to be in stereo. But not audiobooks....

Re: How to get that Golden Radio Voice?

Proximity effect usually only works well with directional microphones. Directional tonal cancellation gets all squirrely if you're too close giving you the bass bump. But that doesn't work for everybody, either.

is able to produce this voice effortlessly for a number of videos But always his voice? It's possible you are the celebrity, not him. Maybe your voice will not convert no matter how hard you try. Have you tried it with anybody else's voice? If he has a sample of his voice before converting, try to ...

Re: Volume drops after an hour

Sorry. It's Preferences > Interface. -60 is not a dreadful meter setting for recording because the majority of your work will be in the top 40dB or do. Playing, editing and production is different because of the need to manage noise which should be lower than -60— and you need to be able to see that...

It is deep like James Earl Jones and accented with the southern dialect. Y'all come. Y' heah? I have a friend like that. I can listen to him describe his trip to the mailbox, and back ! I know somebody else who is trying very hard to stamp out his southern drawl. I told him, "So, you're trying...

Re: Stuttering recorded segment

That's what I'm saying. It's almost impossible to design a way to force a machine to do this intentionally. So it's actually two mysteries. Bug or Damage Resolution involves multiple people being able to replicate a problem exactly on multiple machines at any time. This problem fails everything. Dev...
