Re: Files won't playback except through USB headphones?
it is not working out bc of the slight delay That could mean the mixer is set up wrong. Listening to the show from the mixer is the accepted way to not get that delay and echo when you're listening to the computer. You may have a fancy-pants USB mixer which can, in fact, listen to the computer anyw...

Re: Files won't playback except through USB headphones?
The above still stands, by the way. Once you have an Emergency Condition and the system starts switching by itself, it can get very entertaining.

Re: Files won't playback except through USB headphones?
I'm going to need a more wire-by-wire how you have everything connected. It sounds like an insanely complicated setup for what you're trying to do. That's why it got away from you. It's fine as long as everything is happy and holding hands. For example, I read through that twice and I'm still not su...

Re: Files won't playback except through USB headphones?
There isn't quite enough information to quote specifics, but I bet I know in general what happened. Re: Connecting a tape deck
Desktop machines typically have "real" soundcards with all three connections. Mic-In, Stereo Line-in and Stereo Line out (or headphone). http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/soundCardFinal2.jpg Most Windows laptops are missing Stereo Line-In and some try to cram everything into one socke...

Re: Converting file to wav. form
Try exporting to the desktop. The Audacity folder is an Application location and the machine may not like that. Pick a different folder for your shows and work.i select audacity which is where my files are stored
On a Mac, you could use Documents. That's a nice, graceful user location.

Re: Export Issue
it begins and then the progress window disappears But Audacity doesn't crash? Will the system let you File > Save Project instead of Exporting a Sound File? That will let you bring back the timeline and all the tracks stacked up exactly as you saved it. If it won't do any of those things, you may h...
