Re: Timer Record freezes but recording continues
At this point, I'm just trying to help trace an apparent problem with Timer Record in 2.1.2 by trying out various suggestions from Gale. The laptop is working fine. In my opinion, you will never find it by gazing intently in one place. You don't know the laptop is working fine until you resolve the...

Re: Clicking noise - only on one side of an audio tape
Do you get the same waveshape tiny spikes in the same place in the performance if you play over the tape multiple times? Then it's burned in to the show. If the little spikes move around then It's a mystery. I don't know of a tape mechanical failure that can cause sharp clicks like that. It would ha...

Re: Please Help with Click Track
And that's going to work right up until you have to open a microphone. Have you done any more "fleshing out" of your work? Drumming and rhythm is OK if you're a Venice Drum Circle, but sooner or later you're gong to want to build it out into more complex work. Audacity gives good overdub. ...

Mac Pro, so you don't have a built-in microphone. That's the desperation method. Play the messages into the microphone.

Re: Trfr VMaild from Samsung to MacPro
This isn't the only adapter which will do this, but it's the one I use and it's not very expensive.

Re: Trfr VMaild from Samsung to MacPro
Unless it specifically says so, the USB may not be for sound management. Do you hear the messages when you listen to the phone on headphones or headset? If you do, then you may be able to use something like a Behringer UCA202 analog/USB adapter and just the right cables. That will adapt dual RCA con...

Re: Please Help with Click Track
What must I do to effectively mute the click track or remove it altogether after finishing a beat? I had a good answer already worked up and then I looked up what an SPD SX was. It's not a hardware device, is it? It's a software package. Well shucks. Maybe you don't get there from here, to quote th...

Re: Insert translation within existing native speaker record
connect the Sansa clip so that I can play it as a track in audacity I'm going with no. There's no shortage of people trying to do multiple simultaneous jobs inside a computer. Unless all the applications are designed to support each other, it's usually a disaster. See: Recording Skype in Audacity. ...
