Re: Vocals are still audible after inverting
Audacity 2.1.2 has two tools for this. There is also Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation. You might try that.

Re: Vocals are still audible after inverting
Did you use Effect > Vocal Removal? Many tutorials have you manually splitting left and right and inverting, etc, etc, etc. Effect > Vocal Removal has all that in one tool. It is required that the show be in stereo—two blue waves. Vocal Removal is one of those tools that works a lot better as a YouT...

We can only go with what you tell us.

Re: Recording music through DJ controller
Macs still don't have the ability to record playback. You didn't use the words: "I installed and am using SoundFlower." SoundFlower provides the "reverse" pathway to route playback sound into a recording. That may still not work depending on what you had to do to the soundcard to...

Re: ReplayGain
"Normalize a multi-channel show" This is normalizing many single-channel shows. In my case, I have an orchestra playing one tune with each instrument on its own track. Each instrument is carefully volume balanced. When I export the show, Audacity smashes them all together into a single st...

Re: Cannot Record
I believe the Creative card is incompatible with audacity. More likely the card's drivers are incompatible with Windows. If your device and software support doesn't say in clear English " Windows 10 ," whether or not it works is a gamble. Windows 10 requires specific, intentional drivers ...

Re: Error on initial attempt to record - Windows 10
This new workstation is running Windows 10. What is the workstation working on and what is your job—exactly? Those two phrases cause upset tummies. Audacity doesn't "do" network connections and drives very well. So in addition to Win10 magic setups and device/connection management, it's a...

Re: how do i amplify the background music?
It doesn't say so in the tutorial, but you can't adjust it after post. Once you mix the voice with the background, that's the end of the story. Production and adjusting only work when the music and your voice are on different tracks. While you're there, Audacity has Effect > Auto Duck which will aut...
