Re: Incomplete recovery of files after crash
If you were in the middle of editing and had already performed several edits, then Auto Crash Recovery is all there is. Manual recovery only works from a simple recording. If you didn't do anything that cause the system to write sound files to the show, then your last edit is probably history. Do yo...

Re: White Noise Instead of Audio THAT IS THERE!
Audacity can open up a number of video formats, but to greatly expand the list, install the FFMpeg software. If you miss this step, the video may arrive as white noise trash.

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 on Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.4 - Crashing
At one time Audacity had the nasty habit of trying to save production to the /Application part of the System. That's a terrible idea. Can you save the work to the desktop, /Music, /Documents or some other user space? In the last few days Are you filling up your hard drive? Go > Computer > Right-Clic...

Re: Can't time shift just one of my two tracks
That doesn't sound right...... Select one of the tracks by clicking just above the MUTE button. That track should turn gray (your mileage may vary). Click the Time Shift tool (two sideways black arrows). Click anywhere inside the blue waves for the selected track and push. I'm pretty sure you can't ...

Re: Audacity Recording Screen
Just trying to live out a dream to be on radio, play good music and enjoy the experience. Are you following an existing formula, video or recipe for producing a show? Producing a voice-only show is relatively easy, but making a music production is quite a bit more difficult. Have you ever recorded ...

Re: Audacity working internally in 32bit format
32-floating doesn't overload. If you apply an effect that causes the show to be louder than 0dB, a 16-bit show would become permanently damaged. A sequence of effects in a chain would damage the show if any of the steps in the middle caused the sound to exceed 0dB. A 32-floating show is simply reduc...

Re: "Not Responding" and very long delays.
I willl not see the results until late tomorrow night. I know this is just the most fun you can possibly have, but it would be interesting to narrow it down. Such as: It does this time delay thing whenever the live recording goes over eleven hours, seventeen minutes and forty-five seconds. That's c...

Re: no audio from line in/headphone socket
Assuming that Asus actually called it "Line-In/Headphone," then you need to switch to Line-In in Windows sound management before Audacity will get the audio. It's pretty common for a computer not to have the right drivers and support software for Windows 10. Check with Asus for updates. If...
