Thank you very much for the report.
It's good to have people tell us about Audacity experiences on different platforms and variations of platforms.

Re: External microphone is not available
I'm not sure how to interpret your last post. We're even. We're not sure how to interpret your symptoms. Other than this one. Your symptoms could be of one broken computer. Whenever someone arrives with a "Bug" or major deficiency in Audacity, it's good to look around at all the other peo...

Re: export in specified folder, not in "cleaned"
+1Do you want to "vote" for a method to choose the location of the "cleaned" folder?
As one of those semi-hidden, rarely used options. Certainly, default, normal use should continue to create a "cleaned" folder obvious and immediately to hand.

Re: I'm lost... syncing audio..

Re: export in specified folder, not in "cleaned"
I think everyone missed the point.
The goal is to read MP3 work from a CD without Audacity trying to write back to the CD in the "cleaned" folder, which it clearly can't do.

We should wait for an elf who knows how to play Windows better than I do.

Re: External microphone is not availible
First I've run into this where the Mac knows the analog connection is there, but not Audacity. What's the machine? Built-In Microphone usually means an MBP or maybe an Macbook Air. iMacs have built-ins. Has this ever worked? The Mac plays games to get everything jammed into that one connection. If t...

See attached. Their support apparently stops at Win7.
Go to Focusrite and see if they have support software or drivers for Windows 10.

Re: Peaks limited between -0.5 and 0.5
This is from a supplier's web site for the Scarlett. The 2i4's innovative halo indicators always let you know when you've got a healthy signal level for recording. If the halo is Red, your signal is clipping, and you should back down your gain. The halo will momentarily turn amber as the level retur...
