Re: The absolute best way to record guitar...
@Gregoras Did you see how we gracefully slipped you right out of your USB microphone? The USB interfaces mentioned all take "grown-up" XLR type microphones. This isn't as exotic as you think. If you've ever sat and watched a band at the local club entertain you and urge you to buy more bee...

Re: The absolute best way to record guitar...
I have the UM2. The mono version. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/UM2usb I haven't done a lot with it. It got pushed into "Play with this when I get a second" pile. It does claim it has the same Xenyx microphone preamp as the larger mixers. It will supply 48V for condenser microphon...

ACX Help is not without its problems. I don't agree with McElroy's final processing in his help videos.

Re: Recreating a unique booming voice effect
It's a little rough to do this blind. We have no idea where either of you started from. So post a sample of your voice. Export it in WAV (not MP3). Post a mono voice track under 20 seconds.

Re: BLURRED SOUND FROM USB MIC ON WINDOWS 10
Windows naturally wants your sound perfect...for conferencing, and voice communications. It sometimes sounds a bit like cellphone voices because that's what cellphones are doing. Echo cancellation, volume processing, frequency tailoring. It's pretty much the exact opposite of what you want for music...

Re: osx el capitan + audacity + djm 900nxs
Does Pioneer say in plain words that they support Mac OS-X 10.10 El Capitan? It's a bad sign when you do an upgrade and some of your services stop working.I had to reinstall the Configuration Utility Djm 900NXS mixer

Re: No audio on recording
A Data Disk is a flat, shiny hard drive. You can put anything on there such as Photoshop pictures or Excel spreadsheets...or sound files. That's not an Audio CD. An Audio CD is a special, very specific disk type. My old lorry/truck will only play Audio CDs. Many computers will play standard sound fi...

Re: The absolute best way to record guitar...
I wish I could tell you, "Buy this microphone and everything will be OK." All the microphones in this group have significant problems. They have to be designed to keep most people out of serious trouble and that usually means record low volume (high volume overload is pretty much instant d...
