Re: Copy & Paste Effects from clip to another
Could you have meant copy and paste the audio from the first clip to the second? Open the first clip and Import the second. They should appear one above the other. You can MUTE and SOLO each one with the buttons to the left. If you don't, they'll both try to play at the same time. Select one track b...

Re: HELP - Amplify and Equalization.
If you have a good recording, I don't think it makes any difference which order for those two.we can apply equalization and echo. But then apply the other way around?

Re: HELP - Amplify and Equalization.
You should probably be more specific. For example, if you do phrase-by-phrase volume changing, Compression and Limiting first , Noise Reduction may produce noise pumping and swishing instead of nice, smooth reduction. So there are some limitations. If you have a damaged or noisy show, the list of go...

Re: Copy & Paste Effects from clip to another
The best you can do is remember which effects and which order and apply them again manually. Many Audacity effects save their last known good settings so you won't have to remember that part. Audacity shows have their effects order and listings in UNDO as long as you don't save the show and exit. So...

Re: massive distortion recording from dam 900 nexus
is there a way to recover the part of the mix that is distorted? Probably not. If it's almost unrecognizable then it was recorded wrong. How did you connect the mixer to the computer? Go crazy. List part numbers, connector labels, types of wires, etc. We have to build your system in our imagination...

Re: Handling a very large mp3 file
Audacity can do that if the files aren't MP3. Not all sound files are.
You can install the FFmpeg add-on software to let Audacity open up more different sound file formats.

I'm not a Windows elf. See if there's anything in here. It talks about WASAPI down a bit.

Re: Very loud buzzing/squeaking sound
There is a medical joke called a doorknob moment. The patient makes it through an entire consultation and with his hand on the door knob to go turns and as an afterthought says something that completely changes everything that happened in the meeting. You have a technical distortion in the sound cli...

Re: HELP - Amplify and Equalization.
You can stack as many effects as you like. Each one takes the result of the one before it. I have a process I use where I bracket the Compressor tool with two Normalize tools for best, most repeatable sound. Fair warning you have to UNDO (remove) effects the same way, in exact reverse order. You can...
