Re: Audio Question: Scarlett 2i2 vs. Sound Card

That and the Windows version comes from here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ Nothing like troubleshooting across multiple timezones and it turns out the participants are really using different or worse bogus software. Post a segment sample of the work. Ten seconds stereo, twenty secon...

Re: Audio Question: Scarlett 2i2 vs. Sound Card

The 2i2 is just an interface. Describe the rest of the system. Microphone? Headphones? Which numbered version of Audacity?

It does bother me that only the celebrity monitor system seems to sound OK and everything else is terrible.

Re: Tracks

They all do that.

You can Pause instead of Stop with the P key. P to resume. This one can be messy, because you can't do Effects or Filters from Pause, only Stop. So don't forget!

If you do Stop, you can Append Record, Shift-R. That will always jam the new work on the end of the old.

Re: High-DPI support

Don't run off.

If everybody was a Perfect Developer Fit, the whole Audacity project would fit comfortably in a Fiat in Land's End.

Re: Editing Question

The current Audacity Mac version is 2.1.2 and you can get it here. http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/ I am trying to isolate the background music of a movie. See, that wasn't so hard. No. There are no good tools to take apart a mixed performance into individual instruments or sections. There ...

Re: High-DPI support

Well, my reasoning is that it is (or likely will be) bugging me. In development, it's a little like opening the conversation inquiring whether your mom got married yet. Off on the wrong foot. In defense, while it seems perfectly desirable to drudge in the display system, Audacity supports all three...

Re: Low quality mobile phone calls

Then the cell system may not be the best bet. I've seen people do interviews over a mobile Skype or Chat connection. Those are restricted by the data channel, not the cell/voice channel. If the far end is on heasdsets, the communication quality can be quite good. If you're trying to do it like on th...

Re: High-DPI support

I might call it a bug You should be careful throwing around the "B" word. "Unintentional, evil behavior, experienced by multiple people" ....etc. It's doing precisely what it was designed to do. We run into overly simple screen handling all the time on the forum. That doesn't ex...
