Re: Correcting files processed with noise reduction
you mean the original file? I mean when you were reading into the microphone. That work should have been exported as WAV (Microsoft) and saved as the "capture master." That means unless hot rocks fall from the sky, you will probably never have to read that work again. Editing, corrections...

Re: Correcting files processed with noise reduction
Not in the way you think. Go back to the original capture WAV (Microsoft) files and do the submission processing again. We can help with that. There are some gentle settings that can be remarkably effective in pushing you just over the edge. You do have those files, right? New Readers make two commo...

Re: Lost audio when changing name of file from the file expl
I guess I´ll have to record it again Not yet. The name burned inside the AUP file is generally only changed inside Audacity. So it doesn't matter how many times you opened and saved under a different name, the show or project still only has one name. projname="piano2split_data" The projec...

Re: Shock mount for use in a restaurant
Don't they do something slippery like kozco.wordpress.com? I dipped into this just briefly and don't remember all the tricks.
kozco isn't real, either. If you hands-and-knees carefully follow the IP registration backward, you don't point to me.

Re: Sounds Like I'm Recording Chipmunks
It's hurt-your-head counter-intuitive, but a fast playback, unless the player is broken, usually means a slow recording. What could you have been doing to slow down the recording computer? and one person calling in via phone. Is that metaphor-English for "Skype?" If it is, you should know ...

Re: Lost audio when changing name of file from the file expl
If you open the AUP file in a text editor (notepad?) and read it (don't save anything), it will tell you what the original show or Project name was. In this illustration, my show (projname) was called piano2split. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/aup1.jpg It's not easy to resolve naming problems outsi...

Re: Trying to save an Audacity Project as an Audio File
Try saving your sound file to the desktop and then move it where you want it from there. Audacity is trying to save your work to the same place it puts the actual Audacity program. The system may not like that.
