Re: Recovering Data

Here's the posting we need:

"I'm an experienced programmer willing to work on a volunteer basis. Any Audacity bugs or corrections you want me to work on."

Re: Recovering Data

The naming convention is intentionally random, I understand against the possibility of ever accidentally duplicating a name. I suggested there must be a way to do that in a predictable format as the current method just kills people with show damage. Lest you think this fixable, it's not. That just g...

Re: I passed ACX's QC...but the end result sounds horrible.

Post pictures. I'm tired of being the only one on the block with a fort. You can get a Mac to make noise. If it thinks it's getting too hot, the fan system will kick in. I was reading a nice news piece and the site was building a massive animated commercial in the background. The system went into hi...

He's recording with a very good quality microphone on a boom with rubbery vibration suppression spider and a pop and blast filter. You can't see it in the introduction...

Re: Audacity stops recording at specific point

Are you running out of hard drive space? If you've been using this software and Win7 for a long time, you could have just run out of space to put new work. This is a common problem with the video people. "I've been doing production for a long time and today, suddenly, for no reason, it just sto...

Re: Making the Voice Sound Better - are there macros?

Do you know how to download the sound file from Clypt? I can capture it, but that's too complicated and doesn't preserve the voice volume.

Re: Not recording

You can't plug this microphone directly into a computer, so how are you connecting them? We have to build your studio in our heads to imagine what could go wrong. I use an analog mixer and digital interface. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/LaptopMixerMicrophone.jpg How did you do it? This microph...
