Re: Bad recording, I begin now with Audacity
adapter for jack 3.5 mm of my computer. Is there more than one? I have made that work with the Mic-In of my soundcard, but your machine may not have that and other connections may not work. Is your goal to announce or present a clear, quiet recording? What's your eventual goal? Announce AudioBooks ...

Re: Creating Chain: batching files audio on on side to both
You understand that splitting, deleting and converting the remaining track to Mono will have that effect without all the rest of the steps? A full stereo track is not the only way to play to two sets of speakers and Mono has half the storage requirements. Attached. Note it says "Mono" on t...

Re: No audio on record or playback with El Capitan
I read through that three times. Audacity only checks for new connections and devices when it starts. So if you connect your Focusrite with Audacity already running, it will be invisible. Restart Audacity or Transport > Rescan... I record a tiny USB microphone repeatedly in Audacity and it configure...

Post back either way. It's good that I'm not the only one with hand-on experience getting this stuff to work.

Re: Recording Voice and Audio At Once
If you like to record You-Tube sound or other on-line content, those settings can be deadly when you try to record a podcast. You may NOT use Stereo-Mix, What-You-Hear or any of the other sound pathway fold-back programs while you're doing a show. If you find your mouth forming the words: "Why ...

Re: Recording Voice and Audio At Once
iTunes and Window Media will cheerfully play to a Stereo Out such as the headphone connection or the output side of a UCA-202. Connect that to one of the stereo channels (if applicable) of your mixer. In my system that's RCA to 1/4" plugs. That's where you line up your playlist and get good at ...

Re: Ripping my hair out in frustration
That's a Focusrite with a red case. Model number? I didn't think they made a mono model. Isn't that the company that has the knobs that flash green and red to tell you the volume of your performance? So you have to have either that preamp or Audacity and its sound meters visible to make sure you don...

Re: I passed ACX's QC...but the end result sounds horrible.
Radon as I understand it, slowly seeps from the soil and accumulates over time. It's worse if you have a dirt floor basement, but much less of a problem with a paved or finished basement. So it's not a "turn the pumps off and everybody dies" thing. I don't think temporarily turning it off ...

Re: Export Multiple not working on one file (LP)
It's possible to use "magic characters" in labels and in filenames and folder names and throw the system for a loop. 7/9/16. That may look like today's (US) date to you, but to a computer that could mean a folder 7 containing a folder 9 which in turns contains the folder 16. None of those ...
