Re: Noise reduction

That two-step thing may be why it seems so complicated in code. It's actually a mini-dialog with the user. It has to ask for and then store sound values, and only then do the reduction based on even more user input. I have a program called SoundSoap which does I think what you're after. It assumes t...

Re: rekordbox

That's because you're recording the Mac built-in microphone, not the mix directly.

Re: Noise reduction

Have you actually used Noise Reduction? It's not convenient because of the two-step process. It's not a one-pass tool which is what it sounds like you're looking for.

Re: rekordbox

How are you doing the mixes? Is the Mac the controller in the middle of separate turntables? Other software? Streaming Manager? Where is the music?

Re: removing certain sounds from videos

We can't take apart a mixed track into individual instruments, sounds...or voices. That's why there's no tutorial. You violated number 4. The Four Horsemen of Audio Recording (reliable, time-tested ways to kill your show) -- 1. Echoes and room reverberation (Don't record the show in your mum's kitch...

Right. So we're here. Things that can cause Overdubbing pileups. -- Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording > [X] Overdub... should be the only thing selected. -- You need to be on headphones so the microphone doesn't pick up speaker sound. If you use a live microphone, you're stuck with headphone...

I will need to pay more than £40 for a microphone That's a popular New User Lament: "If only I could get a much better microphone, all my problems would be over." Probably not. Unless you have a Specialty Recording Problem such as Drums, Landing Aircraft, Windy Beach, or a Multi-Party Rou...

it's not allowing me to attach a doc. That and docx are proprietary Windows formats. I wouldn't be able to see it. JPEGs and PNG work well for pictures. WAV, MP3 and several others work for sound clips. mixes are quality mixes to download They are, but you're not downloading them. You're playing th...

Re: No audio on record or playback with El Capitan

do I need to re-post this in another Forum question? You're good here. We object if you join somebody else's message. That's a nightmare to keep straight. There is no live monitoring of your voice in real time. That's called Zero Latency Monitoring and it's generally not available by plugging into ...
