Re: Audio levels when recording
Unless you plan on investing in expensive, exotic microphones...

...changing the microphone isn't going to help. You have enough equipment to go with and just need to remove the noise.

Re: Audio levels when recording
I am not sure if it is loud enough or will it need enhancing ? No and yes. It sounds like you're presenting in a room with a hundred small window fans. Reducing the gain on the Focusrite only appears to hide the noise. The first step in correction is to boost the volume and the noise just comes rig...

Just for grins and giggles, I set my 13" MacBook Air up on a multiple folded-over bath towel on the desk in my soundproofed third bedroom. I went into Mac System Preferences > built-in-microphone and turned off Ambient Noise Reduction. I did multiple tests but this is the important one. I annou...

Re: my audio file compressed to less then one second!!!
Audacity can do that if it doesn't understand a sound file, which means chances are really good it's not an MP3. Re: fixed recording problem
The step where you connect your Music Spritzer sound device to the computer is responsible for the majority of the error posts on the forum. Even Macs, the stereo connection holdouts finally gave up and you need to add hardware if you want to record stereo on most of them.

Re: Tracking Issue?
Stop and Record always starts a new track. If you Stop a recording, you can pick it up again in the same place with Append Record (Shift-R). You can't crash record anywhere else. It will only start recording at the end of the old track. Pause (P) is supposed to Pause a recording and the second P sta...

Re: Can´t overdub
That's overdubbing pileup. It's not 100% fixable. There was one instance we never did figure out where the poster had crossed his record and playback pathways.
