Re: A lot of noise on the bass guitar signal recording on vi

I have a Behringer UM2 USB adapter. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/UM2usb It has a microphone and instrument connections and it's designed to do this job. I have never used the instrument connection, but I have used the microphone input and it works well. It's $30 usd. Other people make simi...

Re: Crackling using Blue Yeti

If you already have an ACX reading, you should go through the corrections and steps for submission to see if they accept it. Re: Horrible Reverberation and sound quality

I just finished a new music edit recording and tried to create a file. Sound quality was horrific. In the new file? But everything is OK inside Audacity? Does one of the broken files open in a fresh Audacity? You have to create a sound file to burn a CD. Audacity is the only program that knows abou...

Re: Horrible Reverberation and sound quality

This is the CD Authoring Dialog for iTunes. You can tell you got the right one because it will ask you to select the gap between songs. Other types of CD don't have that option.

I have seen CD burners that aren't CD Authoring Programs. They only burn Data CDs. Full stop.

Run away.

Re: Chris Compressor Inexplicably Failing

Except I put those there. The show has a long preamble and a bunch of introduction stuff I don't want. So I drag-select some portion immediately in front of the valuable work and silence it with Command-L. Then I trim a part of that fresh silence along with all the trash and that becomes my new star...

Re: My Audacity 2.1.2 is no longer working.

Everything looks OK, so you're right out of my world. I'm not a Windows elf. We know there have been problems with Windows telling applications and drivers little fibs that cause recording errors. You should go into Windows setups and make sure they're handling the hardware OK. The error you got was...

I guess that means the I'm in the .1% for which Pamela doesn't work That's one in a row. The only other Pamela failure turned out to be somebody using their computer wrong. Did you build your computer? It's scary that Pamela is washing their hands of the Windows update. I don't believe for a second...
