Re: Exported wavs revert to original settings
One of the constants is that Audacity does effects and filters at 32-floating in order to get around an effect that inadvertently causes the volume of the show to go above "0". In 32-float, you just bring the volume back down with your choice of tools and no harm done. There is no over-vol...

Re: Re-Scanning for Effects Plugins
Traditionally, someone would subscribe to ton lots of effects, or multiple effects collections, dump them all into Audacity and then Audacity wouldn't start. We would tell them to take the effects out one at a time until Audacity starts. That or some combination of that and the others are the bad on...

Re: Re-Scanning for Effects Plugins
Audacity 2.1.2 has a Select All button on the left. That's a mixed blessing because if you have multiple Audacity versions, it tries to load everything from them all.........

It's something like download the actual program and not the installer. The installer may come with adware.

Re: Exported wavs revert to original settings
Please note that Audacity does not have Clip Info. If you want information on the file you have, you'll need to do it somewhere else. QuickTime will do this on Macs. I think you need an external program on Windows such as Media Info. There's a trick to downloading it. I'm not a Windows elf. http://m...

Re: Newbie needs help transfering projects between computers
This is an Audacity Project. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg Unless you have both parts and in the same folder or directory, the show is not going to open. Double click the AUP file and Audacity should launch and open the show. Do not rearrange or rename anything. That...

Re: Need a little help with a Skype recording hack.
Nor are you messing with Skype trying as best it can to take over the computer. Skype didn't become the top conferencing/communications program on earth by sitting quietly in the corner and drinking its tea. Skype is actively aggressive about maintaining it's channels and sound management. That's wh...

Re: what audio file to import into PPT 2011 slides?
All of QT 7 Pro's features have been available in "normal" QT for years now. I think since Lion. I wonder what changed their mind/who left the company? QT7 was a gift from the angels and then Somebody at The Company said it was much too difficult to use and QTX came out stripped down to s...
