Re: Separate a guitar solo from song

separate a guitar solo
You could try Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation.

If that doesn't work then that's the end. Audacity has no good tools to split a mixed performance into individual instruments, sounds and voices.

Re: Recording from my mixer...

That's when you pop for a Behringer UCA-202 and keep right on going. The cable is slightly different.

Re: Sample Analysis Please!

What about the "rain barrel" problem? Solvable? Sure. Additional soundproofing should do it. Post Production Filtering has some interesting problems here. The rumble filter's job is to destroy everything below (to the left of) 100Hz. It's not fuzzy about it. It was specifically designed t...

Re: Sample Analysis Please!

The easiest thing to do is keep applying LF Rolloff once to each recording. The interference could be coming from anywhere. Now you're into exotic USB failures. "The hard drive is putting a motor whine on the computer five volt system which is rolling down the USB connection into the preamp of ...

Re: Recording from my mixer...

The Master Out (Balanced) are XLR connections (not RCA) suitable for connection to a broadcast or recording sound mixer or other high-end service. The other connection, the 1/4" or 6.3mm sockets can be easily adapted to the stereo Line-In (circle with two black arrows) of your Mac. It's a combi...

Re: Problems in Recording Yamaha Keyboard

impossibile to record without having an USB Adapter like this for laptops.
Not impossible. Some laptops can change one connection to accept music. Most can't.

Re: Problems in Recording Yamaha Keyboard

Many newer Windows laptops will not record music. I use a separate USB stereo adapter. That's a Behringer UCA-202.

It also has a zero-latency headphone monitoring connection that works for overdubbing.

Re: Sample Analysis Please!

I had to turn the gain nearly all the way up on my Scarlett 2i2. Is that normal? Yes. I have two USB microphone adapters. One runs all the way up and doesn't get loud enough, and the other runs almost all the way up. That's not strictly an electronic or audio consideration. It's a business problem....

is there any way to delete my original post from a website You need to contact the administrators of the web site. We have no control over that. how do I save it to post? You need to contact the administrators of the web site or the people who hired you to announce. Audacity can produce many differ...

Re: How to hear headphone playback w/overdubbing ART usb mix

I use a pure analog mixer, but a Behringer USB adapter certified for overdubbing. Plug the headphones into the UCA-202 and flip the little switch to Monitor. Also, see UCA-222 with the sporty red paint job and the UFO-202 with built-in phono preamp. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA20...
