Re: Flat MP3's

5.1 is what they advertise it as. I wonder if you're not listening to the broadcast radio transmitter, but instead listening to the on-line stream where it would be no trouble to transmit Dolby 5.1. I have friends with entertainment systems that "fall back" to actual FM Radio if there are...

Re: Buzzing when playing games

Audacity doesn't always get along so well with games. We've been recommending FRAPS recording software for live game capture.

I fixed the paint on the chair.

- I've never seen a pop and blast filter like that before. Is that how you're taming your crisp delivery?
- Many Windows laptops have noisy fans. How did you get around that?

I sorta remember that's an analysis of the first note of this "performance."

Re: To isolate the left-hand of a piano song

There's another possibility, too. Most people's music system won't respond to the lowest piano notes—the real notes, like the lowest organ pedals. So if you peel away the overtones and harmonics in Audacity you're left with...nothing. I think that's what actually happened. I have several headphone a...

Re: Audacity recording the 2nd channel

How did you connect the mixer to the Mac? Most new Macs come with no Stereo Music connection, so it's an exercise to get it to work at all. Which Mac? I'm typing this on a Mini.

Re: Sample WAV file evaluation requested

The headphone search is ripe with stories. I bought a second set of Koss Pro4AA headphones to replace the ones that were falling apart before I realized each set was guaranteed for life. They sound OK but weigh as much as a Land-Rover and make you sweat. The Koss Pro3AA, I expect were hoping to ride...

To amend that, I'm not an editing New User. I've put together TV shows. I'm a total Audacity Editing New User, so I haven't internalized the oddities and tricks.

I'm modeling the newbie.
