Do you have mixer channels 11 and 12 turned up? That's how the USB plays to the mixer. If you record with that in the output mix, that's a feedback path. ______.........eeeeeeEEEEEEEE

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
Too simple. You need a way to set 3/4 time, 4/4 time, etc. Where to put the lead beat should you select it.I guess that's about it.
Steve assures me this lead beat thing is very desirable and I believe him.

Re: Anonymous Voice--possible compensation..
I think the last three or four times we got asked this, the upshot was use a text to speech converter, preferably a bad one. Audacity has no good speech management tools that can't be reversed with a little work in a good sound effects program. So making your voice sound like a bad cellphone or odd ...

Re: Buzzing when playing games
I don't remember that, but I see the problem. FRAPS shows no sign of support since 2013.FRAPS does not work on later than Windows 7.
On the other hand, Voicemeeter does directly support Win10 and is listed as one of the Skype programs as well.

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
So it's settled then. Generate > Click Track is slimmed down to a few more controls than a physical swinging weight metronome. Speed, [X] Leading beat emphasis...and I guess that's about it. Is volume one of the current adjustments? Generate > Rhythm Track is the collection of drum and percussion so...

Re: recording through mic on laptop
This isn't as plug and play as it would seem. Newer Windows laptops are business machines designed for voice conferences to the home office and other corporate activities. They're not music machines. The processing that cleans up echoes and noise from your conferencing voice hates music. http://manu...

Re: File Renaming Problems. Please HELP!
I typically export a aiff immediately after recording for a backup Could you have been in such a hurry you didn't leave enough time for Audacity to write the project files.....? Are you using Audacity 2.1.2? Did it offer to rescue the show the next time you opened it? Oh, wait. It couldn't do that ...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
A friend who is an actual musician and creates actual enjoyable music presented me with his actual physical metronome, or whatever German for metronome is. It has the usual no adjustments other than speed, but the beats weren't symmetrical..?? I havn't taken it apart yet, it's not my instrument, but...

Drop down menu on the left, split stereo track. Then make stereo track when you're done.
