Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
I don't know it's worth a crunch to meet 2.1.4. I think Click Track as is with a simple metronome download is good until the final design. I might have Click Track actually be a metronome and you only get the fancy options if you select [options]. Then you get the leading beat and have to select whe...

I show no account activity since 2009.
Did you try any of those programming links or Nyquist tools. We could use a few good Nyquist programmers.
I can guarantee your popularity simply by being able to code in Nyquist.
Let us know.

Re: Losing Tracks When Exporting Audio
There could be something actually broken. See if doing one or more of those things doesn't work predictably and is what you actually want. Most things I say are messy, When you post to a help forum, we can only go with what you say. Sometimes a poster will say wildly unlikely things and it's easy to...

Re: More than one Audacity version installed
Audacity 2.0.5 doesn't actually do anything, right? Can you drag the shortcut to the trash (I'm not a Windows elf)?

Re: More than one Audacity version installed
are there important plug-in links between them? Yes, but not in the way you think. Audacity installations are designed to bring forward your preferences and settings. Normally, this makes upgrading Audacity a pretty simple thing. The down side of that is damage. If you have damage or a mis-adjustme...

Re: Losing Tracks When Exporting Audio
You said several messy things there. Export will not "save your data." Export is used to create a stand-alone sound file, usually with the goal of opening it up somewhere else and listening to it. MP3 files create sound damage and you can't stop it. There is no "uncompressed" MP3...

Re: Unable to transfer file via usb stick
I believe the backwards compatibility goes back to Audacity 1.3 and maybe all the way back to 1.2. Try it.

Re: Unable to transfer file via usb stick
If you Exported a WAV (Microsoft) sound file from the original computer, that should open up anywhere in any application. If you saved an Audacity Project, I believe that should open in the new Audacity, provided you moved the whole Project. This is an Audacity Project. http://kozco.com/tech/audacit...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
My concern with this whole thing dates from an event where I wanted a metronome, picturing in my mind the above swinging weight thing with one variable. Imagine my surprise when the page of click track variables opened. And this followed by forum postings discussing how to make it much worse . We ar...
