Re: How to remove hissing in the "S's"

Re: How to remove hissing in the "S's"

The tool is, oddly enough, a de-esser. It's a plugin.

Re: Has anyone used the Steinberg UR22 usb interface for ACX

Shure's gain knob doesn't seem to be completely linear. It's not totally a well-behaved audio control. I also noticed a tendency to "go nuts" at the extreme high-volume point. There is a particular audio circuit design which does that. If you're careful, you may notice that the quality of...

Re: Has anyone used the Steinberg UR22 usb interface for ACX

Both of those links go to the same place. a great unit, very solid, very low noise, I can achieve consistent ACX acceptable noise floors with the Shure. And what microphone? I've never done a production job with my X2U because of low volume and high noise. I confirmed with Shure it's working normall...

Re: How to record the sound in my headphones??

Is local voice echo the only complaint you have doing it the old way? Do the people at the far side of Skype have any complaints about sound quality using any of these methods? I'm not clear, you're trying to Skype and Game at the same time? Aren't the people on the far side playing the game with yo...

You may find the best info from the Audacity on-line manual and posting a specific problem or question here on the forum. Re: burning discs

but don't recall all this difficulty. Audacity has never burned disks. The process can be greatly shortened if you save a sound file and have a computer that lets you drag the file directly to a CD and burn it. I've had machines that will do that. However, chances are nearly zero you got an Audio C...

Re: how to play back: mp3 export needed?

My personal preference is to tell my Mac to show me everything—all the filename extensions. I'm grown up enough not to be flummoxed by seeing a filename that ends in .mp3. Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 5.03.26 PM.png You can send a WAV, MP3 or quite a number of other music files to any Mac and QuickTime...

Re: burning discs

Many authoring programs will burn many types of CD. In general, the Audio CD will ask you to pick the spaces between the songs (default, 2-sec). Others don't. Data CD is a flat, shiny hard drive. You can put audio, spreadsheets, or PhotoShop pictures on there. It might play music in some computers, ...
