Correct me anywhere in there. Generally, voice work is mono. not stereo. so you can save a lot of transmission time and drive space by doing everything with one blue wave instead of two. If your presentation has stereo music or other production, then you won't be able to do that.

If you're devices connect by USB, make sure you connect everything and only then start Audacity. Audacity checks for connections when it starts. You can also try Transport > Rescan...

This is where you find saving the raw performance files is handy. Trying to take apart a mixed final to fix something is a nightmare.

Not having those raw files is a very New User mistake.

Not in Audacity. Vocal removal works by an odd arithmetic sound trick. The trick doesn't extend very well, and the fallback position is that we can't take a performance apart into individual voices, instruments or sounds.

You could try Vocal Removal and Isolation. Past that, we got nothing.

How did you connect your turntable to the computer? Did you upgrade your computer to a Win10 laptop and connect your mixer or Phono Preamp to the Mic-In of the laptop?
