Is it Mono or Left only?

Dig in the Windows control panels and make sure Windows is passing Stereo to Audacity. It should only be a driver issue in Win10.

I am going to attempt to remove audacity from my computer and completely reinstall it. Ugh. I don't know reinstalling is a good idea. Does it? Do you get the bouncing sound meters and blue waves accumulating on the timeline? If you have the speakers up, is the show there?

Instead of hitting Record, right-click the recording meters > Start Monitoring. Same thing? This little dance opens up all the sound channels as if Audacity was going into record, it just doesn't go. There is a weird trick you can do with Noise Reduction that might help. The two clips are Normalized and Normalized with Noise Reduction.
