I don't see a pre-baked INFO packet about that, but that's how I understand it.

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 and 64-bit operation
You may be confusing two things. Win10 is not an "upgrade." It's a whole new system and your sound hardware has to be certified to work. "Works with Windows" doesn't do it any more. It has to say certified with Windows 10. Further, the drivers and support software should come fro...

Re: Unexpectedly Quits during DAT transfer
On a quick reading, the "IO" failed. That is, the DAT machine stopped supplying data. I could be corrected on that, but I think it's on pretty firm ground. And I'm not surprised. DAT machines have terrible reliability. If you have good experiences, then you're the one. It's prudent on a DA...

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
I do have a beach/wave clip here somewhere. I caught Zuma beach with almost no wind once and whipped out my portable recorder. http://kozco.com/pix/ZumaBeach-3K.jpg What? You don't keep a portable recorder with you? This isn't the first time I suspected the recorder was doing processing to "hel...

Re: Help needed - slight ghosting on finished product
I love that it's an In n Out burger That's not trick photography and the only Photoshop involved is brightness adjustment and fuzzing people's faces. It is basic photography. Tell a story, provide context, put the viewer in the scene. Tourists normally wander into the public park and take pictures ...

It's easy to do vague, metaphorical hand-waving and forget what the poster really wants is, "Which button do I push."I really appreciate you putting this up as well
You can totally do theatrical patching and production and screw up basic audio. It is a balancing act.

Re: Echo Reduction and Optimizing
I use a Normalize value of -3.5dB for almost everything. It's good for me to pick a value and stick with it so I always use the tool the same way. In production-speak, -3dB is the maximum peak sound value that ACX AudioBook will accept for a voice submission. It is recommended that you do all produc...
