Re: time shift, harmony part out of sync

I changed the pitch of 1 note.
How? Drag-select the note and Effect > Change Pitch? I don't think that's supposed to change the duration of the clip.

Re: My Blue Yeti mic is not showing up on Audacity

Does the little light come on when you plug it in? Are you going through a USB hub? Plug it in, wait a beat or two and restart Audacity. Audacity checks for connections when it starts. You can also Transport > Rescan... Do you use other audio programs? Do you leave Skype running in the background? Koz

Re: multiple projects or multiple tracks in one project?

You can split the difference. Record the whole thing in one pass (more or less) and then, when you're done, drag-select each segment and File > Export Selected to individual WAV files. Let us know and comment on why one technique is better than the other. Talk about how you want to record the tracks...

Re: multiple projects or multiple tracks in one project?

One out in left field comment: See if your video editor likes the sound tracks in 48000 video standard rather than Audacity natural 44100. Audacity will do either one, but producing the work at 48000 might eliminate one conversion step in your production. I would only produce the whole work as one s...

Re: Bit rate conversion

ACX? You should have performed the work and saved it as a WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit. Sample rate 44100 which is Audacity default. That makes a terrific archive and you can convert that to anything else with no or minimal loss in quality. ACX requires submissions to be in MP3 format (not WAV) with a com...

How do I get back to normal size tracks
I know this isn't the answer you want, but the desperation method is click on the barrier between tracks and pull down.

Re: Editing Help!!!

While the segment is selected (and you're in Stop) Press the keyboard DEL key. A cousin to that is Control-L which will silence the selection but leave it in place. Audacity has very comprehensive UNDO, so if you mess up, UNDO it and start again. Audacity Projects will save all your tracks and layou...

Re: Silence trail following multiple track exports

I have a ~150 minute track compiled and labeled. Can we assume you didn't do that all on one track left to right, but instead stacked them top to bottom? I remember there's a trick to this. Each track will not see the labels on the other tracks, so it won't know when to stop. Try selecting all the ...
