Re: Improving audio quality with Samson Go
To answer the post questions so far: There's nothing wrong with the microphone. You sound just fine in the Raw reading. Clear, natural and fun to listen to. You need a studio or a quiet room with less competition. You will never get rid of all the background noises without destroying your voice. Bot...

Re: Compare and alter recording to same volume and quality
What about between 2 differnet tracks. Do you mean two different performances like two mono blue waves? Or one stereo performance with two linked blue waves. I'm pretty sure Chris will not work if you select two or more different tracks. I don't know what would happen with a stereo track. Stereo co...

Re: How to Delete Binaural beat in a file ?
Audacity can't take a song apart into individual instruments or voices. So we can't split off drums, rhythm or beats and make the volume higher or lower. Did you try Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation? Sometimes you can use that to change an instrument or rhythm instead of a voice. Try to isolat...

Re: Recording from sound mixer to computer
Considering taking back the computer and seeking one with a separate line in jack. Grand idea, but unlikely to be successful. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/PCLaptopSound-650.jpg Even Macs gave up putting Stereo Line-In on their laptops. All laptop users want to connect a headset for Skype,...

Re: Recording Volume Limit
you're probably recording from the laptop's built-in mic without realizing it. And if it is a laptop, you're probably plugged into the Mic-In because many laptops don't have Line-In. see first post. There is another variation, some laptops make you manually switch between Stereo Line and Microphone...

But don't let us stop you from trying anyway. If you get something to work, post back.

Re: Recording Volume Limit
I'm using an Aux Out of a Mackie Mixer to the Line in on the PC. Which we expect to work. That's how I did it for a long time with several different soundcards and still do it on occasion. Mic-In however, has a microphone amplifier before the volume control to make best use of the tiny, delicate, l...

Re: Recording Volume Limit
That can happen when you plug in your sound mixer or other high volume device into the Mic-In of your laptop. Some laptops are OK with that, but most are not. New laptop?

Re: How to make Audacity record ONLY my mic and not my speak
You can force some computers to run both speakers and headphones at the same time. Don't do that. And there are conditions where you need speakers without headphones. Rock bands for example, but most times you need the headphones. Local recording is highly recommended for easy editing and good quali...
