Re: Help finding effects to fix stuttering audio
We can't detect content, so when there are missing pieces like that, the software doesn't know what to put back. See if the attached is any better. I duplicated the track twice and offset each one a little to the right with the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows). This partially fills in the...

Re: Problem with low frequency sounds
This is exactly why the Audacity LF-Rolloff AudioBook Voice filter works so well. It strips off any tones lower pitch than 100Hz which can screw up the company sound technical measurements...but absolutely nobody can hear them. I've never found a solution. Part of the problem is you think your syste...

Re: Help finding effects to fix stuttering audio
Actually using Linux, but this is not platform specific Some of the most challenging posts come from people who partially diagnose the problem themselves, and then pre-filter the symptoms before they post. The three OSs have very different causes for stuttering. You can really get some entertaining...

In Windows? Audacity gets its sound from Windows. You should be able to get the little Windows sound meters to bounce when you perform. You can leave Audacity closed until you get that far.i just cant seem to get it to pick up any sound

Re: Accidentally Deleted Everything In A Project And Saved
What we're dancing around here is you have no show. Start over. In the mature industries, Crash and Burn is built into the Production. It's Very Important to know whether to abandon old work or not in order to waste the least time. That's the Production Budget thing. The very worst productions get s...

Re: Accidentally Deleted Everything In A Project And Saved
the contents of the project got deleted right before I saved by sheer bad luck That's pretty deadly right there. I may be able to save you a lot of work. If you can see some of the little AU files, try to play them in Audacity (but don't save anything). Because of the way your Project failed, I'm b...

Re: scrolling screen
exporting them as MP3 files. Archiving works as MP3 is not always a good idea. MP3 always creates some distortion and it gets worse if you try to edit or do production with an MP3. Make archives in perfect quaity WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit. From that you can make excellent MP3s for your personal music ...

Re: Accidentally Deleted Everything In A Project And Saved
If you do go the separate drive and folder route, remember this is an Audacity Project.. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg It doesn't matter where you put them, but they have to stay together. Close Audacity and use Windows Copy. If you don't, Audacity might be tempted t...

Re: Help with Mixer and Audacity
If you do have the 802-USB, you should be connected to the computer with a USB cable...and nothing else. Configure Audacity so the Behringer is listed as both record and playback. In the Behringer USB/2-Track section, select To Phones/Control-Room and Not To Main Mix . Plug your headphones into the ...
