Are you using Audacity 2.1.2?
I need to read over that again and I'm running out of Sunday in California.
As we go.

Re: Recording Volume Slider?
that's pretty much all? That's pretty much all. It's the job of the microphone, preamp and volume settings to make the mixer sound meters if you have a mixer or the Audacity sound meters bounce in the right place. It's not unusual for modern preamps or microphone system adjustments to run full up. ...

Re: Problem with recording, NOT NORMAL PROBLEM!! Please help
I don't know, how to shut it down pernamently It's pretty serious. You usually have to repair or replace the digitizer. If you're using a USB microphone (Blue Snowball) it's inside the microphone. If you're using a USB sound mixer, the digitizer inside the mixer may be bad. It can get worse. If you...

Re: No audio or just distorded record on Audacity
You shouldn't need to make an MP3 to find out there is no sound. You can use the Audacity sound meters and blue waves to make a good recording even if you can't hear what it's doing. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/AudacityRecording-650w.jpg This is what a normal stereo recording looks like. ...

Re: windows 10/external source
If you have one single socket on the side of the computer, then you can use one mono computer microphone and one set of stereo headphones usually configured as a headset. Screen Shot 2016-12-03 at 21.52.21.png You can't connect a stereo tape machine for transfers. I use a Behringer UCA-202 USB Stere...

Re: ACX Mastering
Did you apply any noise reduction effects? No, I didn't. And RMS (loudness) isn't the only bad number. In my correction, the noise is -70dB which is expected and rational. The -207dB noise reading from your correction is not. The only reason that number passes ACX Noise is a quirk in ACX-Check. The...
