That's a good sign. This is where they pick off the pauses, room tones, extra file management, etc. and prep it for distribution. Open the DB Chapter 1 Edited.wav file you got from the download and Analyze > ACX-Check. I got the attached panel. I know of no reason they should be different.

It's clearer. Some of the mush is gone. Of course not being able to speak Farsi (or whatever that is) is a problem.

Did you sample a trailing echo? Is that what's in your profile? He stopped for a breath and you snagged it?

Make sure Audacity is trying to record your microphone and not another system or software service. For example, if you like to record YouTube audio, many times the settings for that will record everything, not just YouTube.
