Re: Install Waves Sibilance plugin in Audacity 2.4.2 Win10 & Mac
Waves Sibilance v12 Is the goal to smooth out sibilance, essing, or harsh, gritty spoken word performances? We do OK with existing tools. https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=79278&p=404021&hilit=desibilator#p404021 If you use desibilator after the Audiobook Mastering too...

Re: Hearing other person on therapy recording session
I'd suggest that you use VVC on your phone rather than on your computer. Enable "speaker phone", and place your recording mic between yourself and the phone. In other words, put your voice and the patient's voice in the room...and then record the room. The quality is going to go down. The...

Re: "couldn't find project data folder" message
How would I go about separating them? We should wait for a Windows elf. There's just too many screen variables and optimizations and I'm a Mac elf. I am moved to ask how the AUP file got inside the _DATA folder in the first place. Audacity doesn't put it there when you save a project. and now it no...

Re: "couldn't find project data folder" message
And that's the problem. They have to be in the same location, but separate.the .aup file is located in the folder that is labeled _data

Re: Help! Can't pinpoint this sound
I was thiiiiis close to throwing in the towel. That could be slow speed data transmission. Can you try a recording from somewhere else, like a couple of blocks, 1/4 mile away? Are you close to an airport or other building with towers or antennae? Can you make a recording without plugging into the wa...

Re: Clicking when Transferring DAT recordings
Any thoughts? A couple. DAT has a certain....reputation. Have enough equipment with you to be able to transfer the DAT machine headphone connection rather than the digital connection. Say a Behringer UCA-202 and an RCA adapter cable. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo-650.jp...

Re: The notes do not ring and the sound gets muffled when recording
I tried disabling sound enhancements You tried disabling Windows sound enhancements. Do a clean shutdown (Shift + Shutdown) wait and then Start. Do Not let Skype, Zoom or any other chat programs start. That better? Even if it didn't solve the problem when you did that, did it change?? Some games do...

Re: Hearing other person on therapy recording session
I cannot hear them clearly, only myself. Let me take that again. You can hear them just fine during the session, just that the recording is one-sided. If that's more accurate, you join the billions of people on Earth struggling to record both sides of a call. It's not easy. You never said which ser...
