Apparently, I copied out the wrong one. Are there more than two?

We believe you. We're getting more and more reports of Win10 "forgetting" to write the AUP file. It's concerning.hours before

Re: "is an Audacity Project file. Use the 'File > Open' comm
Manual Recovery (at the bottom of that page) only works with a mono, not stereo recording. So the performance may be gone. It's not a bad idea to Export a WAV (Microsoft), 16-bit of important work in addition to the Project. That's a standard sound file that should open up anywhere.

The AUP is the Project Manager. It's not the whole Project. This is a Project. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg Open the AUP in a text editor instead of Audacity. Is it blank or does it contain trash? This is part of a simplified AUP file. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity...

Re: [2.1.2][U16.04] Screencast voice male / female
Announce a sample clip. 20 seconds and post it. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html "Make me sound like an announcer" is a popular request, too. Unless you're doing something technically wrong, there isn't a lot we can do to help. Announcing/presenting is a speci...

Re: How does Audacity work?
The teacher of Christian Studies was looking at a cartoon of a furry creature drawn by a little girl. "That is," she explained, "Gladly, the Cross-Eyed Bear."

Re: [2.1.2][U16.04] Screencast voice male / female
Audacity has no tools, filters or effects that can change your voice. Almost all posts that want us to change between male and female (or adult and children, etc) fail. Realistic spoken word processing is specialty software. We can damage your voice, but I'm guessing you don't want that.

Re: How does Audacity work?
Do you have specific knowledge/experience that would suggest that 24/96 cannot be achieved? I do not. But I had as much luck as you did working around the stunning, entertaining, and perfectly produced graphics to get it to tell me actual information. "Yes, dear, it's gorgeous. Now what's the ...

Re: Latency Correction error
There's two latencies. Recording Latency is the one you set in Audacity preferences so when you overdub, the new performance overlays the old one perfectly. Machine Latency is the reason you can't hear yourself without echoes in your headphones when you perform overdubbing because of delays inside t...
