I believe this only works if you're trying to save a fresh recording. If you're in the middle of an edit session, the show may be gone.

Re: Can't open .aup project
Most (but not all) of the AU files are sound snippets. The job of the AUP file is to tell Audacity how to reassemble all the parts into your show. Without the AUP file, the job is much more interesting. I think these are the current instructions for Disaster Recovery. The files are not in simple num...

Re: Help with Blue Snowball microphone
Chances of you getting a good Skype show recording using standard Audacity and computer management are almost (but not quite) zero. There are software packages which claim to record both sides of a Skype call. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=251167&sid=dcbda04d2a287684a818466726af5...

Re: Can't open .aup project
If you open the AUP file in a text editor (don't save anything), is it blank?
It normally looks something like this.

Re: Any way to playback different track on different Output?
Audacity can only use one device at a time, and as I recall, playback is only stereo.

Re: Hiss-trionics when Recording (2017)
The ID4 seems to be the real thing. It supplies 48v Phantom Power and has the provisions for Zero Latency Monitoring for when you start doing overdubbing. The step up to XLR three-pin cables is serious. Most obvious is the ability to use 48 volt Phantom Power with microphones that need it. Not so ob...

Re: GT-001
Does it show up in Windows? Open your Windows control panels and make sure it can see a sound device and its little sound meters bounce when you play. Audacity gets its sound from Windows, not the device. The appears to be a combined MIDI and Audio interface, so yes, special drivers are required to ...

Re: itunes library input
I'm not sure what the problem is, but after you export a file from Audacity, Right-Click or Control-Click the file > Open with > iTunes. After that, you can create iTunes playlists where you push the song order around as you want and move the playlist to your iPod and burn a CD if your machine suppo...
