I don't know that any of us have heard of this problem before. It almost has to be various conditions lining up on your particular machine or maybe the series. It's no longer available for sale is the kiss of death.

Re: How to remove such clipping noise
That's not clipping. That's a radio microphone losing sync. There is no rescue because there's no voice there.

Re: 2 questions
My dragging doesn't work, either.
You can drag a sound file over the Audacity icon in the Dock. That does work.

Re: 2 questions
There's a gymnastic way around the selection process. Click and hold from your starting point and move to the right. Before you get to the end of the timeline, press Shift and scroll forward with the scroll wheel on the mouse. The timeline will push forward. You need two fingers on the mouse to pull...

Re: One side of headphones not functioning if Audacity insta
I realize that this issue is often addressed as a stereo vs. mono adjustment within an open version of Audacity Oddly, no. That usually leaves Left running. You have a very odd duck. I've had the laptop for over a year now and with no other issues. We're still missing the narrative. "After man...

Re: No recording from Focusrite 2i2 setup
This one's tuff. When you record, do you get green lights around the 2i2 volume control? Select one of the silent recordings by clicking just above MUTE. Effect > Amplify > OK. Don't change any of the settings. What happens? Do a screen capture around the device toolbar and post it on the forum. Screen Shot 2017-02-17 at 6.02.03 AM.png Generate > Noise: Pink, 0.5, ten seconds. Do you ge...

Re: Audio distorted - fades - Inferior
And if that's it, before you toss your hat into the air, make sure you actually have stereo if the original performance is in stereo. If you're recording a stereo radio, the left and right sound meters will probably not match. If they do match, then you probably have headset connections on your new ...

Re: Making Changes to an Existing Track - Corrupts File
Did you just start to use Skype or Chat?just recently started to have this distortion problem.
The post was a little scrambled as to what exactly had the distortion....and how are you editing? Describe an edit where you add a short sentence to an existing performance.
