Re: Can't Get Rid of BM-800 Microphone Static ("White") Nois
Static and white noise are not quite the same thing. Static is random crackling like frying a steak, White or pink noise is more like rain in the trees. But you shouldn't have either one. It sounds like pink noise. Audacity Noise Reduction used to be called Noise Removal. It was changed because too ...

Equalization has "flatten." Dump all control points and start over. Oh, and while I think about patches to 2.1.4, in addition to finally jettisoning the split file system, can we do something about this. Screen Shot 2017-03-01 at 4.22.26 AM.png This is what happens when you have multiple i...

Re: Lots of red lining and weird noise
When you try to record quality work on a Windows machine (in a good environment), it's a good idea to turn off all the voice and other sound processing. See if any of this helps. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements The red lines in the blue waves are ov...

Re: Fixing problematic waveform
If you're too close to the microphone, you could be causing P Pops and other low pitch noises. That's a serious problem, but it's not nearly as serious as not being able to hear them. How are you listening to the work? Only the better sound systems and some headphones let you hear very low pitch sou...

Re: Fixing problematic waveform
The blue waves are not always the only thing needed to diagnose a problem. Please post some of the actual sound. Set up for a normal reading and produce a forum test. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html You can also select and export existing work, but you also have to get...

Re: Agua Caliente
Since it's missing an official posting, there's no easy way to return to factory defaults. The introduction page doesn't tell us what they are.

Re: Agua Caliente
The forum page where it was introduced has additional information. Is there adequate user documentation for it?
http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49#p245549
Can that be pushed into a documentation package for posting?

Re: Agua Caliente
Is this part of the DeEsser DeClicker package? http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=245549#p245549 Wet Mouth Noises. I considered going in and manually removing them, but I could also go in and cure several theatrical timing and rhythm problems. This isn't fully mastered. I stopped when it ...
