I'm taking you at your word that you're doing an actual podcast. The AudioBook people have a very different set of rules.

Re: mixdown song save premix trks
Isn't there a selection to mix down to a whole new track?

Re: Soften the bass popping
I can't tell from the clip what's wrong other than it sounds funny. I don't think you can do anything in post production. How are you recording the guitar?

Re: Audacity Plugins for Podcasters
Missed a step there. https://theaudacitytopodcast.com/chriss-dynamic-compressor-plugin-for-audacity/ For my use, a stiff compression, I change the first value, Compress ratio from default 0.5 to 0.77. The density and evenness goes up and it's an almost perfect copy of the local NPR station compressi...

Re: Does scarlett 18i20 work with Audacity
have been pulled back to square one all the time. What does that mean in different words? Our latest generation 18-in, 20-out USB audio interface can handle just about anything your band or studio can throw at it That's scary. Audacity can manage multi-track recording, but it's a little hit or miss...

Re: How to transform a neutral sound copying another wavefor
While I'm pretty sure one of the other elves can think of a way to do that, I think chances of that working aren't very good because of everything else going on. I'm guessing your work is not a studio production. Anything you change taken from real life is going to sound funny because not only is th...

Re: USB CAD u37 microphone - settings?
Probably the best outcome of the experiment was the ability to pass ACX-Check with minimal fuss and produce pleasant voice quality with a wet mouth noise filter (I love that phrase). We should remember the longest message thread on the forum is Ian who was trying to read an audiobook from his apartm...

They mount as a bluetooth device, right? Can you see them in Mac System Preferences? Apple (upper left) > System Preferences > Sound. Put them in, connect them, make sure they work and then Start Audacity. Look for them in the Audacity Device Toolbar. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolba...

Re: USB CAD u37 microphone - settings?
even then you're better off picking up a mic. I don't agree. I was able to produce a passable voice clip like this. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/iPod-MicStand-500.jpg I had the stand and clip, but I bet I could get it to work propped up on a book over a towel in a quiet room. A good environme...
