Re: Code for a Bell Tone
A quick word on how to apply that Nyquist post? Would this be a good time to find out what the actual job is? Is this a sound production you can copy and paste an actual phone bell clip instead of generating it from scratch? Because of the inter-dependencies and odd resonances, I don't think this is...

Re: Code for a Bell Tone
I can't listen right this second.
I was just making the point that the jetway bell is almost certainly one single bell and the telephone was intentionally designed to be two. So any code would have to take that into consideration.

Re: Muffled Voice
You didn't post what you were recording. Is it your voice? What kind of microphone do you have?

Re: How do i make it sound like it does on the software?
how can it be so hard to save it as it sounds on the software? Audacity will do whatever you tell it including create a damaged track. We just need to find out what you're telling it to do. You finish a performance, press Stop and File > Export..... Fill in the rest. Remember we can't see what you'...

Re: Recording with behringer podcastudio
OK. Baby steps. Can you adjust the mixer volume so you get the four flashing green lights on the right-hand sound meter (forget Audacity for a minute)? Connect the mixer and the digital adapter to the computer and then start or restart Audacity. Use the Audacity device toolbar and select USB Audio C...

Re: Code for a Bell Tone
I don't know about generating that with Nyquist. That's a lot of sloppy resonances and sympathetic vibrations. At least one of those tones is the sound of banging on the rotary dial. The cartoon version of a ringing phone has the phone vibrating off the table until someone answered it. It's not that...

Re: Code for a Bell Tone
The jetway alarm is a bit like banging on a bowl. It has a dominant tone, generally the resonance of the bowl with additional tones coming from different dimensions since it's not perfectly spherical. The telephone tone is two different metal bells and one alternating clapper. The intent was to make...

Which Audacity do you have—all three numbers?
The better Vocal Management tools are only available in the last one or two versions of Audacity. Audacity 2.1.3 is current.

Re: How can i record a two way phone conversation
We tend to become a slave to your initial posting, so let me side-step a bit. Are you preparing a two-person podcast from different locations? Working from my comments above, you can have both parties record their own voices and one send a WAV sound file (not MP3) to the other to edit into a high qu...

I don't remember another request for locking a track. The other elves may have.

You have all the markings of someone preparing a deposition, an evidence display or conflict presentation.a recording of a conversation between me and another person.
