It almost worked. Mess with Effect > Reverb. I don't think there are any elves who can listen to that sample and tell you what the slider values are.

I used the default settings and I got too much reverb for a good match. A better match may be somewhere in the middle.

One note. Audacity has a pretend mode, too. Audacity keeps settings and presets separate so when you upgrade, all your carefully prepared settings automatically go with you. What's the application? You can do really well with a mono voice file and 32 quality MP3 compression. That has the advantage that everybody can open them in addition to producing small files.

Which Audacity have you got? This is a 32-floating mono WAV file from Audacity 2.1.3. INFO from the desktop.

Which sample rate and bit depth are you using? I see the Steinberg is happy with 192 KHz, 24-bit as a top end, but I think I would start with CD quality, 44,100KHz 16-bit just to see if it works. Since you upgraded your system hardware, I suspect there is the temptation to up the digital sound quali...

Change Tempo may be the only way to force matching between the two languages. You have to be careful not to make the changes too large because the meaning of the phrases may get lost. It can be difficult for English speakers to adapt to a different language because foreign rhythm, speed and emphasis...
