Re: Help identifying the cause of the "pop"
Plantronics mic/headset with USB Model numbers? Pretend I want to buy that exact one. I have used Plantronics in the past. They were one of the first makers of a headset whose earpiece could be fitted to your ear canal and whose headband snuggled up to your head. I had to stop using mine because it...

Re: Help identifying the cause of the "pop"
I'm getting frustrated at not being able to find the right spot! One of the less popular and obvious jobs of The Producer (upper case intentional) is knowing when to give up. "This is hopeless, lets trash it and start over," said the lady with the checkbook. If nobody ever does that, you ...

Thunder and earthquakes way below audibility. If you indiscriminately boost everything by a large amount just to ...

Re: Win 10 update fiasco
Some one will correct me, but Audacity is not a multi-core program. 2 second drop-outs are a real pain. You're missing two second chunks of show? When was the last time you clean restarted the machine? Shift-Shutdown rather than plain shutdown. Without looking up all the pieces, are all the drivers ...

Shift-Command-3 will do a screen grab. Shift-Command-4 will let you draw a box around something and capture that. That's where I'm getting most of these pictures from.

Re: Help identifying the cause of the "pop"
Sometimes correlation can be a little fuzzy. Does it only happen when you wear your headset?

Re: Distorted audio after editing in Audacity
The hosting site maybe resampling the work for greater efficiency. If you started out life with MP3 clips and sound work and we assume the producer of that work started with MP3, and then you made a new MP3...and then the hosting site resampled yet again, you may be out of conversions. MP3 gets wors...

Re: Help identifying the cause of the "pop"
Can you find one of those pops that happens by itself? The reason you can't remove it is the same reason we can't inspect it clearly.
