Re: Sound Track doesn't meet ACX Req.
my Author wants music in his Audible Narration. And they're willing to pay extra for it, right? Yes, I bought audiobooks with music interstitials, bumpers and stingers. It's not unheard of, but it's very rare because the production workload, complexity and risk go way up with music. Who is managing...

Re: Sound Track doesn't meet ACX Req.
We can give you some ideas if you post a sound sample on the forum. Use this format. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html If the noise reading is real, we can give you an idea where it's coming from and sometimes, how to get rid of it. Some microphones are naturally noisy a...

Re: Edits are deleting too much
It's good to know that plain, ordinary reinstalling Audacity doesn't actually reset everything. During the 2.1.3 Windows install, it should ask you if you want to reset preferences and settings, Say yes.

Running Low Rolloff before all the other tools can make your technical process a lot easier.

Re: Sound Track doesn't meet ACX Req.
It's good to know that ACX Check needs at least a half-second of Room Tone (stop talking and hold your breath) to work. If it doesn't get it, it will give you crazy wrong readings. I'm adding Audio track with Sound I don't understand what that means. Are you reading a novel in a nice, quiet home stu...

I believe iTunes recognizes the major metadata tags (scroll down). Screen Shot 2017-06-20 at 15.36.13.png It should be possible to get iTunes to group your songs according to the tags (select the column), scoop them all up and dump them into a PlayList. Re: Recording radiojar radio shows using Audacity
use Audacity to record my radio shows using Radiojar. Say that again and use different words. You produce your own radio shows on Radiojar and you want to make a hard copy using Audacity? You want to make Radiojar shows and use Audacity to do it? If you already have shows, give us the address. Koz

Re: ACX RMS level
It's one of the engineering terms generated by what real-world thing closely resembles what we're doing. Video noise is called "grass," Loud sound distortion is called "clipping" from what the blue waves look like. If you run Effect > Equalizer and tell it to do nothing, it will ...

Re: ACX RMS level
if you could explain that low rollof Sorry. Missed a step. Low Rolloff for Speech is a standard, built-in Equalizer preset in Audacity 2.1.3. This is an excerpt from the instructions. Select the work to be corrected or a whole performance by clicking just above MUTE at the left of the timeline. Eff...
