Re: Remove translation audio
It's the overlapping that causes problems. Audacity is not good at splitting a show apart into individual voices, instruments or sounds. Can we assume no damage to the woman's voice? Is there music? Many of the fancy tools are also going to silence the room noises erratically giving a pumping effect...

Re: Improve "weak" audio for training course
Is this sound work the track behind a video? Power Point? You didn't say so, but if it is, then all the condensing and speeding up isn't going to work because the sound sync will fall apart. Still, listening to instruction at one-third speed is pure torture. If the production is portable, then each ...

Windows machines can try to help you with sound transfers. It naturally likes processing voice for conferencing and chat. It doesn't lik...

Re: History of effects after saving project
This wasn't a one-off or special delivery with armed guard. This was a plain, off-the shelf purchase and there were several of them available. My guess is the video people scarf these things up. Storage was a problem when I was active in video and it's only gotten worse with 2K, high def, etc. And t...

Re: Yelling is Wanted, How to Make It?
I was going to say. This might be the place for Limiter's oddball distortion.
It is rough to do acting in post production processing. You also have to do inflective pitch change. Nobody yells in a monotone.

Re: Traacks
This is one tutorial on splitting, but they did it with label markers. There's a way to do it with Silent Sense....... http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/splitting_a_recording_into_separate_tracks.html http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_copying_tapes_lps_or_minidiscs_to_cd.html Edit > Clip ...

Re: Improve "weak" audio for training course
I couldn't resist. I took some of the air out of "proooooooject" and shortened the whole thing up again. It's down to 6.2 seconds and starting to sound human.

Re: Improve "weak" audio for training course
The original is 9 seconds long. The revision is 7 seconds and I could take even more air out of with a little effort. It still drags a bit.
