Re: Trying to use condenser mic and not getting any audio
a USB converter Whose name is? The USB converter might have a headphone port and you can use that as a check point for your microphone. One very serious item you need to pay attention to is Windows 10. Whatever you plug into a Win10 machine should be certified Win10 for best and most reliable resul...

Hardware, software and drivers need to be Windows 10 Compliant. Windows 10 is a new OS, it's not a simple upgrade. The product needs to specifically say so, not just "OK for Windows."

Re: Lost Data! Pls Send Halp!
Mono is always recommended unless there is a specific production reason for stereo. I used to deliver single voice tracks in stereo because I had no storage restriction and I knew that's what the video editor clients were expecting.
ACX AudioBook recommends delivering readings in mono.

Re: BackGrond Sounds
If it's a mono recording, can you post a 20 second sample on the forum?

If it's stereo (two blue waves) 10 seconds.

Like this? Yours may not say the same things, but that's the idea. That's what mine looks like when I connect my Personal Music Player instead of a mixer.

Re: Help with sound recording
I think there's something the computer is doing, but just to cover it: Do you get the flashing sound meter lights on the right of the Behringer? Clip/6/0/20? You're plugged into Two Track Out? There's a step in the middle where we insure the cable is OK, but that's a little rough to do and we can pr...

So an hour and 15 minutes of stereo show is the natural Audacity production limit.Anything more than 2 GB of data
That would be good to know.

Re: Music file from iTune to Audacity
Change the name?
Export the repaired file as WAV and try that.
Delete the original and then try the import.
Do you get a message? What happens if you Export from Audacity to the desktop and try import to iTunes from there?
Was it a 99c tune?

Did you tell us how much on-board memory you had?
I'm having flashbacks. My memory crash was in high memory and it only created problems when I edited a complex video segment over a certain length.
