Two different things. Condenser microphones have electronics inside and some method has to be provided to run them. I have field microphones that take batteries. Studio microphones generally require Phantom Power, so called because power goes up to the microphone and sound comes back down on the sam...

That's why I asked you about recording Skype or Chat. Audacity doesn't work for that.to chat with my girlfriend and record, we live in different city
There are Windows applications designed to record Skype. Which chat application do you use?

There are no grounding issues. Shielding? That 60/120/180 is coming from somewhere. It would be really good to sort that before you tried to pump music through it. Music systems don't have problems like that. Phono Preamps have RIAA compensation. Bass notes don't fit on a record, so they're reduced...

Rycote makes some good universal shock mounts that don't happen to be spiders. Screen Shot 2017-07-13 at 6.42.05 PM.png They work just fine, but they don't photograph as well.
